Cairngorm Mountain
There are many excellent winter routes from Cairngorm Mountain Resort to experience everything winter in the Cairngorms has to offer in winter. Plus, the car park is already at 600m altitude so much of the height gain is already achieved!
Coire an Lochain, Northern Corries
An iconic area of the Cairngorm National Park that is at its best in winter. This area of the Highlands is the most reliable location for good winter conditions, with approximately 90+ snowy days per year. There's a lifetime's worth of winter exploration to enjoy!
Meaning 'little loch of laughter' in Scottish Gaelic, Cac Càrn Beag is one of the 282 Munro's (individual Scottish Mountains 3,000 feet / 914m in height or taller). A fantastic experience in winter with a loch-side walk at the beginning or end of the day.

Ben Nevis

Ben Macdui
Famously ascended by Queen Victoria aged 40, Ben Macdui is an epic day hike in the Cairngorms National Park. In Scottish folklore, Am Fear Liath Mòr (pronounced "am feer lee-uh mor") – the big grey man of Ben Macdui – wanders the summit.
It may be the third tallest mountain in the UK, but Braeraich is widely considered to be more remote than Ben Nevis and has a stunning glacial coire called Garbh Choire More (pronounced "gar-a-chor-more"). Photo = view from the summit.
